Tu'mak - Yesterday's Voyage

Yesterday’s Voyage is a relatively new MU*, with many of the players having come from TOS. I was barely there for a week before Ron’s player came stumbling in.

As of November 25, 2005 Bernard/Tu’mak has now been sitelocked from Yesterday’s Voyage. Of course, he didn’t leave without sending me a parting gift; see the two new @mails at the bottom of the page.

(Public) Guest-1 has joined this channel.

(Public) Tu'mak says, "I do belive there will be some GREAT RP on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Tu'mak says, "+background DONE!!!!!!!!"
You say, "The whole thing?"
Tu'mak says, "Yep."
Tu'mak says, "Wanna see it?"
Aidoann shrugs, "If you want."
Tu'mak says, "Tu'mak was born on ch'Rihan. He grew up in the mountains of Eduran. He had a long line of Romulan officers in the Galae, and his whole family had, for three generations, not only all been in the Galae, but in the grandest house, s'Khnialmnae. He grew up in an easy life, though not totally without work. Nevertheless, the only work was excercise. His family at least believed that you must keep fit to be a good officer for the Galae. The only member of Tu'mak's whole family who hadn't been in the Galae was his uncle on his mother's side. This uncle was instead a Dilithium Miner, and was disliked to an extreme by the entire family. When Tu'mak was able to walk, and understand basics, his parents put him in a Romulan "Preschool." Not an ordinary preschool, but one for children destined to join the Galae. He soon understood all the basics of the Galae, and was put, along with the other children, hard to the grindstone. They taught him basic deceptive and combative skills, but of course they couldn't do too much with the small kids that attended the school. They taught him how to tell lies smoothly, so no one would ever think that it WAS a lie. They trained him in cleverness, and many other skills which should be ground into a future Galae officer early. As he progressed through the years, he attended very high class schools, with not much going on in his life. His parents had servants, so they never really needed to go out much. However, when Tu'mak was in the Romulan "3rd Grade," his uncle Tawnai, on his father's side, was killed in a fierce battle.
This was the only major occurance in Tu'mak's life, however it did stiffen him quite a bit. When he graduated from "College," having majored in many special skills and using a scholarship from the Galae, his parents were assigned to ch'Havran. A massive treasure was to be stored there until another, more heavilly armed and guarded ship could come by which was to take it on to another planet.
His parents were part of the team assigned to protect the treasure. On this planet, Tu'mak, now 20 years of age, met a Romulan woman named Zurii Lamai. At first they were just friends, but as they got to know each other, Tu'mak began the early stages of courtship. Unfortunately, his parents, nor the rest of the guard, had to stay very long. Only one week. But Zurii and Tu'mak decided they loved each other too much to let each other go. Zurii moved to ch'Rihan just to stay with Tu'mak. They were finally married when Tu'mak turned 22. Zurii had two children, Arati and L'athan, when Tu'mak was 26. The grew up over the years, being registered with s'Khnialmnae, and as Tu'mak entered his 30th year of life, he decided, finally, to devote himself to the Galae."
Tu'mak says, "What ya think?"
Tu'mak says, "All I need is the tendencies and @desc."
You say, "Quite long. ;)"
Tu'mak says, "Is it good?"
You say, "Well written."
Tu'mak says, "So just to ask, if it WERE your decision, would you give me a second chance on TOS?"
Tu'mak has left.

Gender: Male                           Assigned:
Empire: Romulan Empire                 Division: Romulan Empire

Notes: A summary of my personality:  I am not one to cross.  I can make you die painfully. I come from a rich and powerful family in hfihar s'Khnialmnae and I would say that, despite my violent nature, I embody the Element air and the Archelement.  So don't anger me.  If you do, I have two Rihannsu words that will describe you:  Hwiiy dyypan! Which means, "You are incompetent."
Famous Quotes: "A man who would stay and fight in combat, when he is at the disadvantage, would not keep his honor, nor would he increase it. Rather, he would loose it. Along with his life." "The Rihannsu life: 'Black as Night and Death, yet evil be not his rest. Passion and emotion, yet still he cause not commotion. 'Neath his eyes and soul, lies the Archement, he is whole. The Rihannsu, he holds with him Heaven and Hell. He rings the glory bell.' Let us live by this poem, and we shall be TRUE Rihana."

(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Can I keep this disruptor pistol I got at the rommie dispenser?"
(Romulan) Jamie says, "You shouldnt have been able to remove it."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Hey, the combat system works a lot like the one on TOS trekMUSE. Good, I liked their system."
(Romulan) Jamie says, "no it doesnt. Ours is better. :P"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "I wish you could say stuff like, computer, <command> like on the MUSE, though."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "I also wish the transporter room had a working console."
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "I also wish you'd quit complaining. :P"
(Romulan) Kard says, "hey now."
(Public) Tu'mak has partially disconnected.
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "WHere can I get a communicator?"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "And how do I get off this ship?"
(Public) Tu'mak has reconnected.
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Kard"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "What kind of verbal commands can you use in the lounge?"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "ANd I take it you can't eat the food you put out money for?"
(Romulan) Tu'mak screams.
(Romulan) Jamie somehow doubts it since he never coded hunger into the system.
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "I am trapped on this ship!"
(Romulan) Jamie says, "actually that's a starbase."
(Romulan) Tu'mak wants out but doesn't know how to get it! Whatever happened to the nice, automated shuttle system?
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "TOS trekMUSE worked something like this MUSH, but they had working transporters you could use to get on and off the starbases and this place has nothing to get off it with."
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "We know. Most of us have played on TOS."
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "This is not TOS. This is a newish MUSH. There are still bugs to be worked out and systems to be coded."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Well how do I get off the base then"
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "I guess you stay there and wait."
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "I don't know. I'm trying to write my bio."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Figures."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Can you bring slaves aboard the ships?"
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "I rather doubt it."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "heh."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Well, bedah ye all."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Good RPing while I am away."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Bedah!"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Bedah!"

(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "There should be a command to pick stunned people up. It'd make being a Rommie a lot more worth while since you can do the nerve pinch."
(Public) Nveid pokes sauder
(Public) Stuperman! Sauder reawakens
(Romulan) Nveid says, "rommies can do nerve pinch?"
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "No."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Well yeah."
(Romulan) Nveid says, "didn't think so"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "They used to be vulcans."
(Romulan) Nveid says, "distant relatives"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "So they retain that ability."
(Romulan) Nveid says, "they don't have the vulcan mind training & discipline though"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Oh yes, but they can still do it because they came from the vulancs."
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "Well, they are very close relatives. But from what I've read, the nerve pinch goes along with being psionic and being able to harness that."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "No, it just goes with knowing where to stick your fingers."
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "Data used it."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "They can do it because I just used it."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Yeah, and he isn't psionic."
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "because you can use the command isnt an excuse Tu'mak."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Well, Rihanha can do it because they came from Vulcan."
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace can disable it very easily for the entire rommie race if it's abused.
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "It's not a bug, then?"
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "Not for the time being. If people abuse it though I will remove it."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Because if it is it shouldn't be considered one. I think the Rommies would be able to do it, because they were once Vulcans."
(Romulan) Tu'mak nods.
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "You must train to be able to use it, at the very least."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Well, yes. I mean, people shouldn't go using it with un-IC purposes.  It's use should adhere completely to the char's personality AND the circumstances."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Nope."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Unless it's just RP'd."
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "She's right Tu'mak."
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "And, Romulans, not being trained in such matters, wouldn't be able to do it."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "But Tu' would've learned it in Galae academy."
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "not really Tu'mak."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Yes, they would."
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "no"
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "Why are you arguing with the /admin/?"
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "it wouldnt be standard training for a rommie. It is afterall considered a vulcan technique."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "I don't understand.  You say it isn't a bug but you also say ROmmies can't use it."
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "the species can use it if they're trained to."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Is it ok for Tu'mak to know how to use it?"
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "There MIGHT be the ocassional Tal'Shiar agent who MIGHT have trained in such techniques. Not the average Rom."
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "talk to Kard about it. He's your rommie admin."
(Romulan) Tu'mak nods.
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "So IS there any way off this Starbase?"
(Romulan) Jamie YVSpace says, "no idea."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "What kind of vocal commands to these waiters respond to in the lounge?"
Fri Oct 28 19:42:45 2005
(Romulan) Aidoann says, "I would guess that it'll tell you the commands if you look at them."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "It doesn't"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "all it says is:  This bartender responds to verbal requests and commands such as [(ng, DRINK MENU)]."
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "Grr,"
(Romulan) Tu'mak says, "all it says is:  This bartender responds to verbal requests and commands such as [ansi(ng, DRINK MENU)].""

(Romulan) Aidoann says, "I wouldn't know."

(Public) Erzan says, "Silly Rommie."

(Public) Tu'mak says, "That's what I said, varuul."
(Public) Erzan says, "No, you said "Fine." jolnen lloann'na'en. pttthhhbbb."

(Public) Lilen says we wait for Ekkhae, so she can settle this argument.
(Public) Erzan says, "Ra is fine"
(Public) Tu'mak says, "Erzan, hwiiy dyypan."
(Public) Lilen says, "Ekkhae being the local Rommie language expert."

(Public) Aidoann says, "Ie. Vah-udt?"
(Public) Tu'mak says, "I am galae'Enerrdh."
(Public) Jadzen says, "doesnt that mean Cadet?"
(Public) Aidoann says, "It does."
(Public) Tu'mak says, "Midshipman, one above cadet."
(Public) Tu'mak says, "Sorry, galae'Enerredh."
(Public) Erzan grins, "Nothing lasts forever, especially goodbye's." :o)

OK, just to let everyone know: I'm a galae'Enerredh, meaning that I just outrank galae'Eredh's, which are cadets.  Therefor I have the ability to tell you what to do if you're a galae'Eredh. And if you don't do as I say, you'll be put to death! (Ok, it isn't THAT harsh, buyt you won't be getting any candy either, let's just put it that way)  This post isn't here to boast or be a rotten creep, it's just here for laughs, even if it is quite true.

Subject: Pinch
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would like to have an IC reason to be able to use the Vulcan nerve
pinch, as I have been told it is necisary for a Rihannsu to have a reason
to know how to use it. I have made up two reasons for you to choose
from, modify, or suggest your own reason. 1( A few years ago, a member of
Tu'mak's family was in the Tal'Shiar and was trained in the pinch. He
once saved the life of the daise'Fvillah, who owed him a favor. Thinking
the pinch was a good skill for any Rihannsu to learn, he requested
permission from the daise'Fvillah to train his whole family from his day
onward in the pinch. Because the daise'Fvillah owed this man a favor, he
granted permission.
2( Tu'mak wanted to know a little more about his Vulcan
ancestors, so he read up a bit. He found out a little about the nerve pinch.
(This next part is optional) One day he tripped, hitting himself in the
back of the neck and blacking out. When he woke up, he remembered
feeling several tingles at a few points on the back of his neck before he
blacked out. He remembered the nerve pinch. (End of optional part) He
trained in the pinch and was finally able to recreate the incident.
An alternate end which disgards the optional part: He practised it on
himself, and oneday blacked out while doing it. A few more tries and he
was able to recreate the incident.

Those are my suggestions. If you decide it would be OK for
Tu'mak to know how to use the nerve pinch, then you can choose one of
these, modify one of them, or help me make a whole new story.

Subject: Assignment
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway,

Tu'mak would be assigned to the chR Aen'rhienn to guard it
until a crew could be assigned. In addition, he would be given a Disruptor
pistol ONLY for the time of the assignment, of course. The following
would be the proceedure:

1) If he finds someone on the ship, he asks if they are part of the
assigned crew.
2)If they say they are not, he politely escourts them from the
ship.3)If they say they are, he allows them to continue with what they were
doing, but makes routine checks to make sure they are just doing what they
said they were assigned to. If they deviate from doing what they said
they were assigned, they are escourted from the ship and a report is
filed to the Galae.
4) If they say they aren't part of the crew, and resist being escourted
away, Tu'mak is authorized to stun them with his Disruptor, then do
with them as he sees fit: Remove them from the ship, secure them in
sickbay, or in the brig.
5)If they attack Tu'mak, he is authorized to stun or kill them
depending on the situation.
6)If they are from another Empire/Race, they can be either escourted
from the ship, which is to be Tu'mak's first choice, stunned and secured
in the brig, which is his second choice, and, finally, killed, as a
last resort only, and secured in the sickbay.

I believe this would increase RP for me, as I'd have a reason
to be RPing with people. It would also increase RP for others.

As always, you can either accept, reject, or modify the contents of my
proposal. :)

Tu'mak arrives from Romulan Star Empire OOC Foyer.
Tu'mak has arrived.
Tu'mak bows to Aidoann. "Jolan'tru Aidoann. How are you?"
Tu'mak says, "Might I invite you to STar Trek: Legacy MUSH?"
You say, "I am currently filled up with MU*. I have 9 at the moment."

(Public) Tu'mak says, "Uh-uh."
(Public) Tu'mak doesn't like having @aconnects set on him.
(Public) Lilen says, "Oh?"
(Public) Lilen says, "What was the @aconnect?"
(Public) Tu'mak says, "Someone gave me an aconnect of @wait me/5=@boot/me"
@BOOT
  @boot <player>
  @boot/port <descriptor number>
  @boot/me

Disconnects the player from the game.

The /port switch takes a descriptor number instead (the "Port" number
  in WHO for Directors).

The /me switch boots any single descriptor for the same player which
has been idle for at least 1 minute. Players can use this command
  to terminate hung connections.

Only admin and those with the "boot" power can @boot other players.

Bernard pages: It is my right,
You paged Bernard with 'What?'
Bernard pages: that is public distribution of information without the consent of the subject to the distribution and I do not give you my consent.
You paged Bernard with 'All of it happened in a publicly accessable place.'
Bernard pages: I know. Those who were on the MUSH were lucky because they got to see it but I won't have the public seeing it. Take it down.
You paged Bernard with 'That ain't how it works.'
Bernard pages: I was used to MUDs back then. I have learned.
Bernard pages: I was used to no difference between IC and OOC.
You paged Bernard with 'If you don't act like that anymore, then what's it matter?'
Bernard pages: 1) Everyone will see it, find out that that's the same person on some other MUSH and not give me a chance and, 2), I don't approve.
You paged Bernard with 'Sure, if you go around saying 'Hi, I'm Ron from TOS!' everyone'll find out it's you.'
Bernard pages: Take it down.
You paged Bernard with 'I see no reason why I have to or should.'
Bernard pages: because the person who you wrote about disapproves.
Bernard pages: There are laws.
Bernard pages: I now implement them.
Bernard pages: Take it down.
You paged Bernard with 'I don't even know if you ARE the person who did those things.'
Bernard pages: And your &quote.
Bernard pages: Why would I tell you I was if I weren't?
You paged Bernard with 'How should I know?'
Bernard pages: TAKE IT DOWN.
You paged Bernard with 'Find me a webpage that says I have to take it down.'
Bernard pages: I will compromise.
Bernard pages: It is kind of interesting and good for laughs. If you change it's titles to make it sound more like a page for laughs, rather than a page to make sure no one ever forgets Ron, I will be ok with it.
Long distance to Jamie: Aidoann had been planning to expand it with Tu'mak's stuff anyway... but had been dawdling.
Bernard pages: If you really think it's worth paying to keep it up.

I am done. This is the last straw. Aidoann, you have found out who my characters are on every MUSH you can and then you go posting it up on your damn webpage. You will ruin all my chances of proving myself. I am done with this little Ron-news page of yours. I want it put ot a stop. And I ask it not just of you, but of Jamie, Ari, Colputt and Kard. Please tell her to get rid of that page. It is unfair. It is wrong.

Oh, and as a sidenote, that page you gave me, and i QUOTE: You paged Bernard with 'Sure, if you go around saying 'Hi, I'm Ron from TOS!' everyone'll find out it's you.'. Well, Aidoann, looks like I don't have to, because you go around doing it against my will.
